Here is a picture of me and my newly kilted 6 year old son. He has decided his X-Marks the Scot name should be Sinbad (he and I love the old Ray Harryhausen movies). His kilt is a Royal Stewart Sportkilt. It uses velcro at the waist and so far seems a great kilt for a child. It's sturdy, light, and easy to put on him (and washable!). I didn't bother with the optional belt loops or sewn down pleats. For his size kilt they don't seem very important. I also ordered him a sword kilt pin, and two pairs of basic white kilt hose. Including tax and shipping it all came to less than $80. Seems to me a pretty good deal.
Sinbad wants to join X-Marks (I told him that he might be a tad too young).
He is very excited (as I am) for our first Highland Games. Sinbad will also be joining us at the next kilt night. Here's a photo.

...or two

Cheers All
