    If you're going to do it yourself, I have one very , very strong suggestion.

    Tweed. Tweed, tweed, tweed. Tweed is very forgiving of little imperfections. Fine cut cloth like what goes into tuxedo jackeets, is not.

    Hie thee down to the jumble sale, or the discount clothes place, or even the Goodwill store and find a tweed jacket that you like, and modify THAT.

    If you're going to pay a professional tailor to do it, that's different.

    Oh no, this is definetly NOT a do-it-myself project uh uh.
    I figure it's time to do something different for new years, the Robin Hood shirt is still a favorite but my freind Big Steve (of Clan Keith) looks quite the gentleman in his jacket, Panache's tweed is a seconder.
    I'll take a gander at the threads mentioned and work on this (I only have what, 6 months or so ???)
