Oh, yes, I clicked on 'Play' but no photo appeared. I also tried another route by clicking on 'Browse all albums' at bottom left. A sheet of tiny thumbnails appeared but clicking on them, as instructed, brought no photos!

Anyway, thanks for posting a selection of them directly (which I CAN see!). That is one very fine kilt and I just love the colours in those Irish tartans. Well done!

Awestruck. That kilt you are wearing is simply gorgeous. Wow.

Now you've got me looking at the HoE site for what they've got for County Cork, my wife's ancestral home.

MacSimoin, that is a gorgeous tartan! Great colors, and so many nice ones that the choice of hose and shirts is huge! I definitely need to check out the HoE Irish tartan line and add them to my list, right behind the Welsh tartans that I want, which are right behind the rest of the Scottish tartans I have not bought! I figure by the time I retire I will have at least gotten to the first Irish tartan!

Yes, the County Cavan kilt certainly allows a wide range of color coordination with shirts, hose, etc...and since I usually wear a t-shirt around the house, it's fortunate that I have a few 'sand' colored t-shirts that not only match the Cavan kilt but my Fitzsimmons kilt as well. For a 'classier' look, I have plenty of coordinating Oxfords, blazers and sweaters that match as well. I've always been a bit fussy or particular when it comes to matching colors, but I'm sure there's a lot of us here that are like that (with due respect, Hamish and pdcorlis are fine examples of that).

Yikes! Thanks for the compliment but I'm not at all sure I belong in the same sentence as Hamish... his photo album is the textbook on kilted style. At any rate, my county Cavan arrived today - so with any luck I'll have a couple of photos and a few impressions for tomorrow.

And here I can see where the Westmeath (some Fitsimons) is related in design. In reality it's not so bright green.

FYI, I forgot to follow-up here and mention that DHL Express did hit me with a customs fee of $60.20 (about 2 weeks ago). In hindsight, the kiltmaker should at least have the courtesy to inform its customers that this may happen.

Although these fees are generally out of the kiltmaker's control, there are several other overseas shipping providers available...I wish Tartankilts.com provided a choice rather than not.

Still, I'm very happy with the kilt and the customer service.

    Robin,

Sorry about that...don't know why you can't see them. Anyway, you can always click on the link in my signature to see the pics.
