    Rex,

I like the idea of the snaps at either side of the waistband. It would help for a more "fitted" look. at the waist.

    Cheers

Not sure if the snaps at the waistband are a new mod or just now standard on the Mocker. I purchased one off of eBay late last year that had this, but I seem to recall the seller mentioning that it was an option they paid extra for. Nice if you ask me, and it does make it possible to forego the belt.

Now if I had just lost as much weight as I thought when I purchased it, I might be able to wear it!

That's the problem with the waist snaps, they fit you where they fit you. No waist snaps will actually give you about an inch either way.

The web site makes no mention of this being standard now. I also thought it was just an extra you could add.

    Thanks for that info Rex,

New to me. Never would have guessed it.

Have three mockers, none with waist snaps.

Agree, there's more range for us fatties without them.

Congrads on the new Kilt, Rex!

Would love to see some pics when you get a chance

My mocker does not have the waist band snaps. Not sure I would like them. The snaps seem appropriate for my Survival, though.

    Enjoy your new UK!

    Cheers,

Someone posted this morning on the UK Yahoo group that they just received an original UK that had waist snaps. Maybe this is something they are trying out, or maybe someone ordered the mod on two kilts and then cancelled and UK decided to try and pawn them off on their next two customers. Very strange.

With my own made kilts I wear a 1.5inch belt - I just don't have the vertical space between ribs and hips for high rise waistlines.

If I made kilts with rigid waists I would need to change kilts several times a day to be comfortable, as my waist must vary at least three if not four inches between putting on and off. Either that or wear a kilt which only fitted perfectly for about 1/2 an hour a day.

It might not be everyone's problem, but I would think that adjustable or adapting waistbands would be a good design feature.
