Well my son (age 7) bought a wool kilt. Now we live in the city and we're not allowing him to wear it every day. We also bought a kilt that was too big, by more than an inch long and fit him at the tightest setting. Hoping it will last a few months . Definitely going with Poly-Viscose next time. I like the teflon coating, and no dry cleaning.
I want to make him a sporran to finish the look, but being 7 he doesn't really need pockets for much. Less stones and frogs in the dirty laundry this way. Also I want to get him a Sgian Don't. But haven't found a good supplier.
I commend his grandmother! Well done on her part offering to properly attire the boy.
