That sounds like a good idea. I tend to do my hiking further north but the southern part of the mountains is an area I have yet to explore (on foot). I'd love to find some new trails out there.

That's not a bad idea. It could be another type of kilted gathering.
I would recommend though, that it just be a day hike, for those of us who aren't really into the whole backpacking thing but love to get out into the woods.

These are really super pictures - though the way the light has caught your legs in the first photo you appear to have had one leg covered up while the other has been getting a suntan.

Glad to see you up & around! The Rocky Knob area has some great trails. I also like the hiking around Grandfather and Table Rock, and the Linville Gorge is good, too.
