Because the C&O is relatively flat, it would work out great for folks of different hiking ability. Plus, there are many good access points. And for those concerned about the "wilderness" aspect, a big part of the more westerly canal is very isolated.

I like Great Falls for ease of access this way folks can get back for any other activities and not be in the car all day.
