I'll have to see if I can get some time of the afternoon of the 18th so I can make the trip up. It would be great to meet some of these folks.

I think we'll do the same thing as last time... Brittingham's Irish Pub in Lafayette Hill. It's about 25 minutes from my shop... a nice little pub that's got live music (that night is "Donal O'Shaughnessy") at 9 PM, but we can sit and have a nice dinner before the show. It's much easier to talk and get to know each other in a place where you can HEAR what people are saying. Nothing AGAINST loud pubs, but when you want to converse a bit, it makes it hard.
Tentative Schedule:
Meet at the shop (249 Bridge st, Phoenixville, PA 19460) at about 6 PM
Leave at 6:30
Dinner Reservations for 7
Eat, drink and be merry
Enjoy the entertainment at 9
If any of our "out of town" guests need to find a hotel, drop me a PM and I'll look into something for you.
PLEASE let me know if you're planning on coming. I need to make reservations ASAP for a large party such as this. They have no problems reserving a table (or section) for 20 people if I give them some time.

If the move to the new shop goes as planned,
If I make it to DC first,
If I don't get lost between DC and Philly,
If, if, if
Count Bobbie and I in! And perhaps Tabea too.
Have USA Kilt, will travel.

Hi Rocky!
I'll be there! My family is scattered to the four winds at the moment, and I don't know how many will be with me. How soon do you need to know? It would be min 1 and max 4.
BTW - where is Phoenixville relative to Phillie?
Cheers,
Barb

Phoenixville is 1/2 hour (or so) northwest of Philly. For directions to the shop, click on the mapquest link below:

It's not too bad if you come off the PA Turnpike.
How soon do I need to know? ASAP. The sooner I can get a running total, the sooner I can put in the reservations, the better it is for our group.

Rocky
I'd love to come, I just need to convince my wife to come along, and get away from work early!
I'll let you know.

The primary reason for my trip out East is to close out the estate of my Mom-in-Law. We will be meeting with relatives and hopefully seeing the Grandson who is scheduled to return from Iraq in late July.
Other reasons for the trip include introducing Tabea, our German seamstress to the US. She has never visited and only knows what she has seen on TV.
We will also be traveling up to Philly to meet with more relatives and visit with Rocky and Kelly.
My tenetive schedule runs something like this;
Fly to DC on or about the 14th of Aug. We will be staying out in Mannassas, VA.
It would be great to meet any X markers in the DC area too. (Anybody up to meeting in DC for a kilt walk down the Mall?)
In the Philly PA,/Trenton, NJ area the week-end of the 18th.
Back to VA and fly home around 25 Aug.
I hope to be able to meet with as many X Marksers as possible so if you have some free time and would like to get together, send me an e-mail at;

I will have just finished doing the Fergus Highland Games. I will be driving down on the 18th . It will just be me as my wife is acting in a Musical. The following day I will be going off roading in the Pine Barrens in New Jersey and pulling Jeeps out of the mud with my Kia
Looking forward to this

right now it looks like about 14 with Kelly and I. I'll get the word out to local "kilties" and we'll probably end up at about 20 or 25 people.
Come on PA Kilted People! Let's make a strong showing and give these guests the welcoming they deserve!
