    He looks very handsome in his first kilt

    Here is a question about little boys and kilts. I know that it's really difficult to keep a growing boy in clothes because they keep outgrowing everything. Does a kilt have a distinct advantage over a pair of pants because if it is designed well it can grow with him?

    Even better - with a piece of cloth and a belt, you can clothe them until the cloth actually wears out, and not just until they outgrow it.

    With the way my own weight fluctuates, it's far easier for me to juggle the pleats in a belted plaid to resize the darned thing than to try moving straps.
