    Ironically, her people, the Melancons, were believed to be Scots or Northern English who assimilated with the Acadians in Nova Scotia. The name Melanacon/Melanson is listed as a sept name of the Clan MacMillan.

    I went to grade school with a Melanson...wonder if he has any idea how scottish he is!!!

    and yes, I know how bad it can be to get a cajun mad...been on the recieveing end of that once or twice...I'd rather take flaming bamboo shoots under the fingernails!
