Rocky, will you be having a boothe set up at the BlobFest? Are you close to the Theater? I have always wanted to come up for that, and this would give me two reasons to make the trip.

We're 6 or 7 doors down from the theatre. We won't have a booth, but we will have our store open! Look for the red drips in the window and the sale... "10% off the 'Steve McQueen' kilts for Blobfest". HAHAHAA
The fest is this weekend. Kelly and I will be here tonight until 7 and tomorrow from 11 AM to 7 PM.

Welcome! As you can see, there is a great deal of knowledge to be found here. Good luck with your kily making. What kind of material are you planning to use? Do you have any other kilts?

Make sure to snap a few pics of the kilt you're making, and share with us!
...and welcome!

Well...this will be my first one.
I am using a black cotton duck material I picked up. I have wanted to buy a kilt for years...normally the urge is strongest at the Highland Games I go to every year down in Fairhill, MD. But, I had trouble rationalizing the cost to my self for something I had never worn before. I found a camo kilt on one of the bargain tables this year, but it was just a wee bit too small, so I didn't get it. I saw lots of Utilikilts being worn and they seem pretty straight forward, so I decided to give it a try myself before forkin' out the big bucks. Right now I'm into it for about $20 and alot of learning.
If I can find a reasonable Fraser Hunting, I am not sure I could hold off though.
