[sarcasm] No no. That looks AWFUL. [sarcasm]
You're going to have to do away with it. Just send it over to me and I'll properly dispose of it!

No, but really. WOW! looks great! Once I get a bit of confidence on a sewing machine I'd like to make a go at converting one.

Very well done indeed - the jacket looks great and you look sharp as a tack!

    David,

Great transformation! The jacket sets off the colors of the kilt very well.

Very Nice, maybe a scooch too small. How doe's it feel when you wear it? I wouldn't have noticed if you hadn't mentioned it. Could you button it? You did an excellent job on the pockets. O'Neille

It feels ok when wearing it as I never fasten a kilt jacket anyway. If I lost a couple of pounds It would fasten

Yes, the jacket as altered complements the kilt nicely.

Kilts and jackets are always a good reason to get in better shape aren't they. It's quite an investment that is not easily replaced or altered. I never fasten my buttons either but when they stop approximating I start running a little more. O'Neille

That turned out really well. You got the sporran cutaway just right.

Can you give us a labor breakdown so we might judge effort or cost to have this done? I've got a jacket I am planning to do the same thing with but I think I'll trust it to a tailor

It took approximately 4hrs to do from photo to photo. there are buttons to sew onto the pockets & epaulettes yet, we will get them tomorrow, say add on another 1/2hr.

The Jacket was all hand sewn by my wife, as it is made out of a silk material it would have pulled if machine sewn
