i say go for it!!!! the outfit looks great. subduded from the front and all wild in the back. woohoo!
Like the others have already mentioned, Pride only comes once a year so throw caution to the wind and have a blast. You have the whole rest of the year to behave. (yeah right!)
and make sure you take pics. That way me and my GF can live vicariously through you.

Many thanks to everyone for your kind and helpful advice.
Unfortunately, the day just did not happen. A good friend came to stay with me for the weekend and our plan was to attend 'Pride' - we also hoped to meet up with Paul Henry whilst there. However, on Saturday morning, I awoke with more discomfort than I was prepared for - a side effect of a medical implant I am given every 28 days, only this time it was really troubling me. Jim and I discussed the situation over breakfast and came to the conclusion that it would be advisable not to travel to Brighton after all.
So I am afraid I spent most of the day sitting indoors, close to a cooling electric fan, looking at the rainbow boa which was draped over the back of a chair - I didn't even wear the rainbow kilt as a token. Just did not feel up to it. I guess there will be other opportunities, but not many!
I have a hospital consultation with my medical specialist on Wednesday and so hope to be reassured of some progress then.
Sorry Paul for not making it, and sorry everyone for there being no photographs.
(PS: I am feeling much better now; it was just an uncomfortable weekend, that's all).

Hamish, the most important thing is for you to take care of yourself - I hope you feel better soon!

Hamish
If the implant is what I think it is...a wise decision. It can and does have some unpleasant side effects. (I've never had it but I've given it many times, painfull too).
Hope you are feeling a wee bit better.
Regards

Sorry to hear that, Ham. I am nursing a broken rib right now and it still hurts like hell after 3 weeks. Hopefully you are going to feel better soon.
