    Thanks Bradley.

It's never been a secret that Sten Rune and I started with the pattern from the book "So you're going to wear the kilt" by Charles Thompson. We took that as our base design

The sporran in the picture looks like one of those.

I do however like the sporran above, simple and functional. Nice combination of colours too.

I like the belt buckle too
    All the Best.....David.

I appreciate David's gracious post about a competing product. I certainly mean no disrespect to him or his highly regarded products. I've been on the forum he moderates, and I knew these were very similar to Freelander Sporrans. I thought twice about posting such a similar product, especially being new to this community but aren't we also interested in knowing as much of what is out there as possible? It's all about options, prices, availability, and individual likes and dislikes. A small difference in appearance or features can tip the balance in a purchase decision.

All of the craftsmen and women on the board bring their own twist to the table. There are many threads here where one kiltmaker has complimented and recomended another kiltmakers kilts. It's a very neat relationship you'll find here. And while most of us have a preferance of what items we buy, for the most part we usually behave like collectors and pick up a piece from one shop, then a piece form another and so on.

I don't feel disrespected at all. In fact I wouldn't like to think that people didn't post sporran threads here because I'm a mod/spare time sporran maker.. So no need to think twice. We have some fantastic craftsmen and women on this forum. I love to see their work....So don't hold back
