Gee....if the party is given in your honor I would think you could wear what you want as long as it's in good taste. It sounds to me as though you were quite nicely dressed!

Congratulations on your retirement! Don't worry, be happy - wear what you want - no explainations are necessary.

Oh yeah, welcome to the rabble!

    Wear what you want

As usual I agree with Phil. The older I get (I'm 60) the more I'm sure that wearing what one wishes is a freedom worth exercising. Here's some words from the Braveheart web sit: Braveheart. This approach involves wearing kilts and other male unbifurcated garments (MUGs) as ordinary, everyday attire, for reasons of freedom, comfort, and compatibility with male anatomy. Bravehearts do not desire the freedom to dress in women's clothing, nor are they concerned with abolishing gender distinctions in clothing. They strive to maintain a clearly masculine image. Strict Bravehearts prefer unbifurcated garments that are specifically designed for men and avoid clothing that is intended for females. Their goal is to open men's fashion to kilts and other MUGs, so that men will be free to wear these garments everywhere, all the time, and not just for special events.
As others have stated you would get a very different result from this forum

    Wink A little precision

    Just a little precision

The poll I conducted on my other website was the reaction of unknown visitors and not necessarly the one of the my ex-working companions.

Generaly speaking the general public reaction is quite positive except for the classic question which I have a snappy answer :

"It's 10$ if you want to see it".

    Talking Your just being yourself

You can and should do what you feel like doing. As long as you didn't hurt anyone else, then you really should't care about what others think. If you had all of us (Kitted Rabble) at the party then everyone who wasn't kilted would feel different...

    Be yourself....what's your mtto???
