Great pics Derek. You and Elaine certainly get your share of healthy exercise, and in a very scenic area.

Ham .. you are quite correct, the reservoir is right alongside the Brecon Mountain Railway. You would have gone right past Y Buwch Coch to get there. Shame you missed it Ham, you would have all enjoyed it there. Here's some piccys of the train I took on Thurs as well.

Blu .... Finding old little pubs (especially in remote areas) is something that myself and Elaine and her Dad enjoy doing. Were off for a pub lunch today at an old Inn .. will post a pic of two of that later.

Derek, many thanks for jogging my memory with those photos of the Brecon Mountain Railway. Dave W., Rob and I were there in April 2003 and much enjoyed a trip on it. Here are a couple of photos that Dave took (I cannot find mine!!):

This is me at Merthyr Tydfil station:

and here I am in the train itself (the Utilikilt is the no longer available 'Standard' Original model in Khaki - still one of my great favourites!):

It must be in my genes, but I just love the look of that weather.

Same here. Mind you, I'm not complaining about the weather in southern California, but I love how lush and green everything is there and the atmosphere. Great posts Derek and Hamish. Thanks.
