    I'm of the "It's easier to get forgiveness than it is to get permission" mindset. I also think it's easier to get "permission" to wear a kilt at work if you showed up for the interview in one.

    Though I'm self-employed I do have many, many clients ... I get business in a kilt before I do business in a kilt. No permission necessary, no sense of a "bait and switch" situation with my clients (bosses). No, "By the way, did I mention I prefer to wear kilts," once they see me in the field with their customers and sub-contractors.

    I do hope you are allowed to wear your kilts at work. No doubt the more organizations that allow kilts the better ... it takes courage to try and it is only the efforts of those who try that result in more and more of us being able to ..............
