yes Ron, that's the same view as the friend I mentioned. I absolutely respect that view, but sorry, for myself I cannot agree.

You rightly point out that soon the kilt would be unnoticed, you might find that period to be quite short.

It depends on the church I guess too, as it's been said, some are diverse culturally speaking, others are conservative.
Causing no offense should be a priority.

Out of interest: Last week I preached about Patrick, Columcille and the early celtic saints, so my love for celtic things is well known and the kilt fits that well.
