General Kilt talk, Pictures, then new posts. Unless I'm in a hurry than just new posts. Starting to enjoy off topic more. O'Neille

New posts.
If the new posts slow down, I'll scan thru General, Accessories and pics to make sure someone didn't sneak by me

I'm with Cavscout. new posts then see what slipped by. If after all that I still want to wander around in here, I just bring up one of Pour1Malt's photo-journeys around scotland, or the infamous and huge thread about what you should and shouldn't do in a kilt!

New posts first, then scan GKT, Advice, and delve back into forum history at random. Forum searches for specific purposes.

I check the New Posts, read some or all of those, check the New Posts again (in case there were any posts while I was reading), and then search or scan.

I start at "General kilt talk", and go right down the line, checking out each topic, and finishing with "off topic". Then,on most days, I hit refresh and go back through all of them to check and edit my own posts and see if anything new has been added while I am online. Of course, I'm a charter member of ROFS (Retired Old Farts Society) and I have a lot more time than you youngsters who still have to work for a living.

I finally figured out the syntax for the "get daily" query, so I start with that, and then work from the oldest unread and work forward in time. This helps ensure that don't miss a post on topics that interest me.

I have never bothered with the 'New Posts' link. Instead I go to the main index and work my way down the highlighted thread subjects, ignoring those that I think hold little or no interest for me.
Very often, having reached the bottom of the index, I go back to the top and start again because that is when all you chaps in North America start posting. In fact, that is why I am so often very late in going off to bed - around 1.30/2.00am!!
