Would you be intersted in casting a "round buckle" similar to this picture:

I'll take some close ups & do a little bit of measuring tonight and post them.

The buckle as an "indent" on opposite side of the pin to give the look of a brooch pin when buckled.

A slight delay, but I'm on the job now....



The design, the buckle made of plastic modelling sheet and the pewter cast of it.

I'll now further shape the pewter casting...when finished, this will be used to make the production mold.

The buckle will be 8.5cm x 7.2cm, 4mm thick, 140 to 150 grams, a 5.5cm (almost 2.25") wide belt will fit.

The buckle will cost $12.50 +p&p.

I'll post pictures of the final result...polished and weathered versions...next week.

That looks great Robin! Perhaps a "smooth" version and a "Hammered" version?

It's not a good idea to hammer things made of pewter, but I'll see what I can do to give it a "rough" look

The "antique" version.

I didn't polish this buckle and left the small flaws as they are and gave it an acid bath. Looks pretty antique and handmade :rolleyes:

Since all buckles are handcrafted...each buckle will be slightly different.

The antique buckles receive a protective coating of clear varnish, the polished buckles will receive a layer of anti oxidation varnish and clear varnish.
