I had a related experience once - I walked into the organic market down the street from our house (a place where I'm known as the kilted guy, though I was wearing pants that day) and was buying some breakfast on the way to work. The cashier was kind enough to point out that my fly was open. I looked, zipped it up, and said something to the effect of "boy, there's something I don't normally have to worry about...." It got a laugh from the ladies behind the counter.
