			Kilt #2 is here!

My Irish National from SWK is here, and looks might sharp.
The difference between the Standard and the Economy is quite obvious to see when you have the two side-by-side. But, I love the lightweight of the Economy and still plan on wearing it on the plane for my wife to see when she picks me up at the airport.

I did have to iron the straight pleat on the left of the front apron so it matches the taper of the fringe. I read in another thread that that will help tame those flyaway pleats on the Economy kilts.

And, I was in Kohl's today, and found a great casual belt, one with a rectangular metal buckle that has the feel of a kilt belt buckle without the dressiness (or size).

Unfortunately, the pics I have show me with an untucked Henley t-shirt, so no belt shot.

 Now....what to do for #3?

"What to do for #3?" You could go heavyweight SWK, or go tailored and get a semi-traditional kilt from any number of suppliers, in a number of fabrics. For a heavyweight, it is hard to beat the SWK price, I love mine... but there are other really good options out there too.
I often debtate what I'm gonna do for my next one. So don't feel bad.

With regards the SWK kilts, I'm fortunate in that I have an even waist size, and the 24" drop fits me perfectly.
I have the IN tartan on now with a yellow dress shirt, and it looks pretty damn sharp, if I do say so myself,

I've still got some tweaing around with the iron to get these pleats to line up just the way I want 'em to. The fabric is quite easy to work pleats in and out of.

I have one of their Wallace Econos, and I LOVE it. I really do prefer it over their standard (I have a Nightstalked standard of theirs as well.) The main reason is the standards have all the bulk of extra fabric in the fell. But, none-the-less, you can't beat the prices. I think the next kilt I order is going to be a Utilikilt. I'm digging the caramel workman's To be honest, it's really just going to be a matter of what they have on the shelf in my size, as I don't want to wait after hearing some horror stories about their wait time.

Congrats on your new kilt! I have the same one and I love it. The difference between econo and standard are IMHO very apparent. A LOT more for a little more $. Wear it with pride.
