It was amazing how many St George flags could be spotted being flown on vehicles in the rest of the UK during the World Cup.
Traditional rivalries were put aside in a generous show of support.
Some years ago only Scotland qualified and I do not recall (I was then living in England) seeing a similar outpouring of the Saltire on vehicles in England.
If it happened again, or if Wales were to qualify, I would hope that the same spirit would now be shown.

If Wales were to qualify I'd want them to win it!!
Couldn't say the same for England though, they're always "going to win it" anyway, they don't need my support. And I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of the St' George's Cross waving Scots didn't have some other football 'affiliation' guiding that.
