Awesome!
Uhmm...I'm looking for antler tops...or whatever they're called...the pointy bits. Any idea where I can find them? the hole "thing" would be fine also...just don't have a clue where I can find one.

I have been wondering about that also, Robin. At Petworth House, here in Sussex, where I work for The National Trust, we have the country's largest herd of Fallow Deer in the 700+ acre Park. I enquired last year if it would be possible to obtain some of the antler horn for myself, but the answer from the Property Manager was a firm "No, sorry!" It seems The Trust rakes in a considerable contribution to its finances by selling every tiny piece of the horn to 'the trade' through contracts!!

I was in the Antique Warehouse up here in Belmont the othr day, (it's next door to REI) and one of the vendors had 4-5 antlers for sale for about $12-$14 each.
The knife looks great!

Panache,
I made my two the same way a few months back: pic.
Didn't consider professionally sharpening them, though - just gave them a light touch with a bench grinder (at that point I didn't have the patience left to use the Dremel grinder).
