    Thanks Robin,

I've been waiting for that review for a long time....had guessed as much but was also tempted.

Makes sense that the kilt should cost more than the sporran....

I bought it before the warning but they do have a full refund policy with no quibble and questions asked.

So I will provide a review when it arrives.

The dealer has a 99.9% positive feedback and out of around 13800 feedbacks in the last 12 months have 43 neutral and NO negative ones. OK they are not all regarding kilts but the ones that are seem perfectly happy with them.

I'm having O'Neille fix mine up, but I love my ebay tanks. Great knock around kilt for when you don't want to worry about ruining the kilt.

    KOG,

my 2 cents:I believe I have one of their Blackwater kilts. It's okay and functional. Robin's review is spot on. Independent of the seller, it's likely the kilts are all made in the same place.

To me, it would been worth a few extra dollars to buy a USA Kilt casual instead of one of these ebay kilts.
    Cheers,

here is a link to my review of the ebay tanks...not to far off from Robin's, although I did wear mine through a week of hellish hiking/camping/dodging monsoons in the mountains..

i have a couple of similar kilts that i got off ebay as well. i wouldn't call them "tanks" though. i play in a "psychobilly" band. we play a LOT of punk shows in smoky dive bars with drunk people. i wanted a kilt i could wear there without worrying too much about it getting beer spilled on it or smelling like stale beer and cigarette smoke. that's why i have my inexpensive ebay kilts. i'm still trying to come up with the scratch to get a real tank in my tartan. it may see the inside of a bar now and then, but you can damn well bet it'll never see the inside of a bar in those conditions!

    Cheers,
Twice the price is more than "a few extra dollars." Still, those USA kilts look like a decent value.
