What his asscoiation with the Kilt is, if one, I don't know. Well this guy just kept repeating himself again and again and then started going around to various people in the pub in his loud and drunken fashion to tell them as well in case they never heard him in the first place. The only thing I said to him at one point was 'Welcome to the 21st Century' but that was just like water off a ducks back and to complicated for him answer I guess.

I expect that in his cups he thinks that he is an expert on many things and thinks that everyone wants to listen to his pearls of "wisdom."
Clearly he is not used to seeing the endless versatility possible with a kilt, especially when it is worn casually. We pioneers here in Wales will hopefully help to overcome such a mindset.

I put money on this guy being obnoxious in a sober state as well. The booze just shed his inhibitions such that he made an a$$ of himself.
That was an excellent come-back by BTW.

You maybe right. After all drugs are known to intensify peoples' personality
