The outfit looks great, as usual. I like the kilt pin too, where did you find that one?

I'm not Hamish. BUT, I remember him saying that he purchased the kilt pin from the same place. They have it here on their site. I hope you speak (or at least READ) French!

I somehow missed this the first time around.

    That is absolutely gorgeous.

Yet another item to add to the list!

    Good golly, Hamish!

I'm beginning to think you could make a sackcloth and ashes look good!

Many thanks everyone for your kind comments. I have to be honest: I did not put this combination of Jacket, waistcoat and kilt together - Richard, at La Maison du Kilt, designed the brown cord jacket and waistcoat to be worn with his 'Randonnée Bretonne' tartan kilt, and he offered them to me after I bought the kilt.

The kilt, along with the Brittany National one I had from him previously, and the beautiful, heavy kilt pins are available from Richard du Clos at
http://www.tartanbreton.com but the jacket and waistcoat are not yet listed there

That is a beautiful Jacket and waistcoat Hamish, I think it reallt fits the bill of a classy casual outfit. A lot of guys on this and other sites really want a quality made (but cost effective) kilt jacket. If Richard has priced these right, he may be in for alot of business in the near future.

Keep the beard, mate, it will look sharp.

I agree Colin. As I mentioned, Richard is not yet listing these items on his website so I don't know if he is intending to go into full production with them. I guess, if anyone is interested, they should e-mail him (via the website - www.tartanbreton.com ) to make enquiries.

As a guide: the cost to me of the jacket was 180 euros (CN$255) whilst the waistcoat was 70 euros (CN$99), plus shipping of course. Not the cheapest jacket perhaps, but certainly not the most expensive - extremely good value I'd say. We should always remember that quality clothing is never going to be 'cheap' - all we can hope for is good value for our money.

I am absolutely thrilled with the jacket and waistcoat combination and cannot wait for the colder weather to be able to wear them. Happily they 'go' with several of my other kilts.

As for the beard: I'm still undecided, although my hairdresser told me this morning that he thought it fabulous and well worth keeping!
