Frank,
I do not live in London, but it is only just over an hour away on the train and I go up there fairly frequently - especially, if it coincides with a kiltie passing through!!!
If it can be an early evening meet up (late evening and I cannot get home again, such is our train service!), I'd be delighted to spend some time with you, but please let me know the precise dates as soon as you know them yourself. Planning anything that close to Christmas is usually a bit of a nightmare!
I'd advise your wife to get her theatre ticket booked ASAP as most West End theatres are fully booked at that time of year. For example, I recently saw 'Billy Elliot - The Musical' at a matinee performance and had to book the seats seven months ahead!!!

I will be passing through Heathrow on December 21st. I wasn't going to go into London proper but if there (miraculously) happens to be something going on I'd be delighted to consider it.
I'll keep an eye on the thread.

I'm still trying to get my personal travel assistant (wife) to nail down some dates. I have to know when to ask for time off. I'll keep in touch. Thanks

We arrive at Heathrow around 9:00 (0900). Wife has gotten tickets for her play on that night. (Thursday). Sooooooo, if any one is up to it, we could get together that evening. Friday night is Spamalot!

In the theater district? Stop by James Smith & Sons. It's a great place to browse.

Frank,
Many thanks for your PM, which I have replied to but before seeing this thread! Thursday 21st December (early evening) is good for me, but you and your wife are going to be shattered!! It just took me three days to recover from the jet-lag (Los Angeles to Heathrow)!! Anyway, if you believe you are 'up for it', I'll be pleased to travel up to the Capital to meet you (and to toss back the odd glass or two!). Let me know (PM) where you are staying and/or which theatre your wife is attending and we'll make arrangements to meet up at one or the other. Then, if anyone else is going to be available, we can publish a time and place.
