Scot, how will this work out? Are you going to require they properly pronounce 'Lamont' before allowing them to enter the tent?
If Ken makes an appearance, give him my best.

I haven't had the time to follow this thread much but I did want to chime in and say that the Scottish Tartans Museum staff (including myself) will be down there in all our glory.
Stone Mountain is the one Games during the year where we travel with gift shop inventory. (If anyone has seen out tent at other festivals you know that it's pretty much strictly informational). Thanks to the generosity of the Stone Mountain board, we are able to set up as vendors there and bring down our gift shop wares.
It's a great weekend for us, and serves as one of our museum's major fund-raisiing efforts during the year.
We are usually very busy, so I don't get much opportunity to escape from our tent, but all are welcome to come by and say hi. And, of course, we will still have our computer, tartan swatch books, and name reference books to be able to answer any tartan-related questions (and even some non-tartan related ones!).
Look forward to seeing everyone there!
Matt

1:00 PM on Saturday works for me, I'll be working at the tent with Southern Scot.
To gain entrance you must pronounce Lamont correctly!

1:00 Saturday it is! Let's see how many we can get in the same pic "doing the Hamish".
Just for reference, how should we pronounce "Lamont" (don't want to look stupid, you know! )

The correct to pronounce Lamont is Lam-mit', it rhymes with dam-mit.

1:00 on Saturday sounds good. I think the opening ceremony is at 12:00, so I should be back to the tent by then. If you can't make it for 1:00, drop by anytime throughout the weekend. Any of you that are "clanless" and plan on being around Sunday for the parade, you are more than welcome to come march with the Lamonts.
Matt, I'll definitely stop by and introduce myself.
Mike, I think the correct pronunciation of Lamont isn't asking too much. Cawdorian already gave out the cheat sheet. Ken isn't coming this year, but I'm working on getting him to come down next year.
I look forward to seeing / meeting everyone this weekend.
Cheers,
Scot

This seems like it will be an intersting Saturday. I plan on attending but only until about 1:30 or so due to a high school marching band competition.
I have to say, I am glad the Highland Games are happening now because i've been needing a good pair of kilt hose and I'd like to get a good kilt pin to wear.
Hope to see all y'all there.

Is everyone ready for the Stone Mountain Games this weekend. I have been getting ready all week. Since we are camping there there is a lot to do before we leave. I will be leaving for the games tomorrow. If anyone else is camping, look me up. I have 2 camp sites, they are 88 and 90. I will also post my Renegade Kilts sign so you will know where we are. You are also welcome to come by and visit after the games on Saturday. My oldest son is so excited that he has offered to help me with everything this year (will wonders never cease). Looking forward to seeing you all there.
