Heh, a common misconception. Deserts can get bloody freezing! I had the same thought when I shipped out to serve in San Angelo, Texas. The first week I nearly froze to death because I left my uniform coat in shipped luggage.

Sounds like you had a great trip! I went to Pennsylvania over the weekend, but didn't have nearly as much fun. The pictures are great; you got to see some beautiful country.

Lots of nice young ladies, half my age, had the uncontrollable urge to talk to the old guy in the kilt.
