Check with Tim's bro, Bill. Wait, Tim already wrote that. He's in Modesto, or something....

I'm in Fremont-not far from Alan. I think it would be cool to compete at the smaller games!
I think my grandsons would get a kick out of grandpa competing.
I guess I would be in the Masters division.

That would be a great reason to pack on some serious weight and muscle. I've seen some of these guys like Buzz Kidder and I'm a serious lightweight at 5'10" and 185#. I'd like to be around people just to train but Sierra Vista, Arizona is a long way from everywhere. O'Neille

WOW!!! A 16 lb dram???
Obviously, you'd have to have large stomach capacity for three tries on all those events!!!

Hey, for those of you seriously interested in training for Highland Games, may I suggest the following coach:
http://staleytraining.com
Charles is the Professor of Performance, and for a small monthly fee, gives you the best EDT (Escalating Density Training) workout you can get. It's having your own personal coach for pennies - plus you get access to his training forum.
Listen, I'm a member, and I can honestly say that I am beginning to understand why professional and olympic athletes call him "the Secret Weapon."
If you are serious about training, see Charles Staley. And, no, I'm not paid to sell his stuff. He's just the best there is, and I thought you might like to know from someone who has personal experience.
Last year, I went from not being in the gym for 20 yrs to reaching several life goals in about 5 months - and they were not goals I thought I would reach in 5 years!
PM me if you want more details.

Those of us in the Bay Area - I'm game. I'll see if I can't get Bil to come out here and get us started - Switchblade, I'll ask him to PM you....and for the record, I want to train to be on P1M's team - "Heavy pint for distance", is that stagering distance?
