It's funny, I looked through this and had to laugh a little. At age 16 I've already done half of what P1M has detailed but instead of making beer, I made moonshine or Mountain dew for anyone that knows it by that moniker.(Yes Pepsi does produce a product that is named after a euphemism for moonshine.)
Now, don't get worried, it was for a science fair project. I actually did a nifty little experiment to find out which grain produced the greatest total amount of pure ethanol alcohol. It made for a worth-while thing to do with all the current talk of gasohol and it's "benefits". Still, how many people can say the have made moonshine before they were legally old enough to drink, or make it for their science fair project?
Still, it's good to know the processing for what i actually past the fermented mash if you don't plan on distilling.
