I guess you could say easy stitched. The method I used to assemble the whole sporran is the same. I used my leather punch on it's smallest setting to punch holes at regular intervals into all three pieces of leather. Then I used waxed hemp string (it works, it doesn't look bad, and I was able to procure 250 YARDS of it for US$0.00) to stitch it together. I believe that kind of stitching is referred to as "saddle stitching." The circular impressions are from the "anvil" on the leather punch.

Well... I've kind of started myself a small business. I've actually been making kilts and sporrans to sell. I haven't mentioned it here on XMarks because there are so many other vendors. I can't produce the volumes that these other vendors can, mainly because I only get 3 or 4 hours per night to work on kilts or sporrans. Right now, my clientele is predominately rennies.
Anyway, I've named my business "CroMag Kilts." The "glyph" you see is my logo:

I'm glad you like it... I designed the thing myself.

This one is my 4th attempt.
This is from the 3rd pattern I drafted, hence the "model three."

Technical data...
This front and back of this one are made from 6oz. tooling leather... that I think doesn't tool very well. The gusset is the last of my 5oz. garment leather. Fortuneately, I have some 4oz grey suede wiating to be worked.
Dimensions... 7.5" at the widest point (7.25 at the mouth) by 8" tall by 1.5" deep.
In response to the "big man, big sporran" thread, I just drafted a sporran that measures 9" wide (8.75 at the mouth) by 8.5" tall. Depth is determined by the size of the gusset, which I cut out just before I'm ready to produce the sporran. I figure I'll make it in the neighborhood of 3 or 4 inches.
