I'll bet a lot of the wives who saw you two are goading their husbands into getting those old kilts out of the cedar chest.
For the group we went up with, I know I'm the only kilted one of the bunch. On the way home, we got into the discussion about what is the difference between a kilt and a skirt (so I explained the construction of the pleats and the waist/hip difference between men and women), and then I was asked by one of the women if it was built like a "skort", which is a combination skirt/short. When I told her that no, there isn't anything like that built in, that it just wraps around, I could see her eyes light up. It should be interesting to see her at work tomorrow.
