Okay, by popular demand....and to answer some of the queries.....
The "stock" kilt shirts come with the following options:
-- a choice of collars (grandfather and normal)
-- a choice of cuffs (regular and French)
-- a choice of fabrics (100% cotton, 55%/45% hemp/cotton, 100% hemp)
-- a choice of colours in at least the hemp/cotton (black, natural, beige, blue, cranberry) and perhaps in the other fabrics [YES, WE CAN MIX THE COLOURS SO THE SHIRT BECOMES TWO-TONED; THIS WOULD STILL BE A STOCK SHIRT.]
Stock kilt shirts come with front button closure and are hemmed at the requested length. Sizing for the stock shirts is based on neck/chest measurements, and will be listed as small, medium, large, extra large. To determine what size you are, we need your neck and chest circumference, plus the requested length of the shirt. We make your shirt when we get your order. "Stock" does not mean the shirt is hanging on the rack, but that we use a stock pattern to construct it.
A shirt order becomes a custom order when what the individual wants requires us to modify the "stock" pattern. So, lengthening or shortening the sleeves, making them puffy or more flowing like some Jacobite shirts, changing the collar or the type of front closure, altering the proportions between neck, chest, etc. -- these are custom modifications.
Both stock and custom shirts are now "available". They will not show up on the Freedom Kilts website until we do the revamp of that in the new year. I will post specific sizes for the stock shirts soon (tomorrow?). But in the meantime you can e-mail me (or phone) and discuss what you are after.
I hope I have addressed most of the questions. If you have other suggestions of what should be included in "stock", please let me know.
