I have the answer to your problem

The answer is spelled USA Kilts. That's the short answer.

Here's the long answer. Go to www.USAKilts.com and look over their wares. Go to Hamish's webpage and look around for his USA kilt. Talk to Riverkilt on this board about the USA kilts. Heck, ask me about the USA kilts. Call Rocky and Kelly, talk to them. Look for a semi-trad and you'll have a kilt that fits you just as well as a hand-made-to-your-dimensions wool traditional, only in poly-viscose.

PV is not as heavy as wool, but it looks good, swings good, hangs good, cleans good----it's just good.

    USA Kilts, my man.

    Rocky and Kelly.

    You can't hardly go wrong.

    They'll hook you up.

I also love the PV. It looks great, and feels great. I've washed mine twice and haven't had any pilling. Pleats still look great, too. I got mine here. Gonna get another soon.

[shameless promotion] I echo others' sentiments. USA Kilts is the best there is in P/V. I've had a chance to hang out with Rocky and Kelly at some kilt nights and even made it out to the opening of their new store last year, and I guarantee you will receive the absolute best quality product along with great customer service. Definitely USA Kilts. I've washed mine . . . I don't know how many times now--probably half a dozen--and no piling. Also stays remarkably wrinkle free.

Must agree whole heartedly! If I can't have wool then I will take PV over most any other fabric. I have several that I have been wearing for over 2 years and have had no problem with pilling/snagging or anything else for that matter. Care is a breeze, toss it in the washer, shake it out and hang it to dry. Very little or no ironing required.
Must agree with the others here, you can not go wrong with USAKilts! Rocky and Kelly are the best.

PV, and USAK is the place to get it from. I have 4 and would not take any money for them.

Thanks for the link, I may get my MacPherson tartan from them. Beats other prices I've seen.
