I'd think that it would be more efficient, economical, and hygienic to learn to correctly sit on the kilt instead of letting things simply crumple under you when you sit down.
The last time I had any skin touch the seat was a goodly number of years ago, in the height of summer - in Arizona - when I sat down on some aluminum bleachers.
Ever since then, I'm *very* cautious about the sweep-and-sit.
