Any ideas? Will SWK make special orders? I know the one up in PA does but they want me to send them a swatch first so that I'm not sending them crap. I can't remember the name at the moment. Oh well, any other ideas?
Barb T and Matt Newsome are kiltmakers on the forum here that do custom work. I believe they both charge $225-250 to make a kilt.

It's not unreasonable for them to want to see the fabric first to insure it is 'kilt-worthy' material. I would do whatever you can to make sure what you are getting is the genuine article. Be careful. If it's cheap, there's usually a reason.

Well it's the PV material from scottishweaver...it's not wool by any means. But I've got no problems with it.
