I know I never want to wear pants again. In fact, I hate even wearing shorts or PJ bottoms in the evening, and would like to get one of those nice Irish Night Shirts.

Though he was incorrect, someone today supplied me with an explanation.

I wore trousers today to meet my parents for lunch. Afterward, I stopped by a little gift shop, Metronation, to find some birthday cards and token gifts. One of the shopkeepers took me by surprise when he said, "You know it's getting cold out when the regular kilt-wearers start wearing pants." He explained that another of his customers who wears kilts came in the night before in pants.

Now I don't visit this shop often. A few thoughts went through my mind:

    • It's not that cold.
    • Even if it was a little colder, that wouldn't stop me from wearing a kilt if I wanted to.
    • How does he remember that I wear a kilt regularly?
    • Oh dear. I'm known as the guy who wears the kilts.
    • How about that? I'm not the only one.
    • Who else is wearing a kilt regularly who would be visiting this shop?

    Regards,
    Rex.

People do, I stopped in a CVS unkilted (one of the really rare times)for the first time in months(both at the CVS and unkilted), and the clerk asked where was the kilt

Actually, you crossed my mind, Adam, but since he said it was a guy in trousers who ordinarily wears a kilt, I couldn't imagine you in trousers.

    Best,
    Rex.
