To be honest?? As me an Tattoobradley discussed via PM, probably the Henderson Ancient from SportKilt. Even though I've heard the in's and out's of SK, of all the things I've heard it is a good "chill out kilt." Not so much the nice and formal kilt. So, that is next on my list, for now, unless someone can persuade me otherwise.

Congrats on the new SWK.
I have been considering their solid black offering. It only comes in Economy, and wool Heavyweight. Has anyone had any experience with either one?
Cheers

Actually, there is a big difference in the two. The Economy, which I own one of, is solid black (as the name implies). It is a nice kilt... good for casual "dress up" as well as for just kicking around.
The black Heavyweight is made from a material that has a shadow tartan... the color is all black, but the material is woven in such a way that it appears that there is a tartan pattern in the material.

Indeed.
As I said before, it is actually a well made kilt. For the $54 (after shipping) that I spent on mine, one would be hard pressed to get any other kilt (barring a self made kilt). I now have three kilts that I have made myself (though one has shrunk, and now looks more like a mini-skirt than a kilt), and I have three SWKs. The SWKs are all well made, and I couldn't find any Irish National tartan ANYWHERE and still be able to produce a kilt for under $60.
Once again... enjoy your kilt... it will do you good.
