It's that time of year in Park City where we have to work and I had to work both Christmas and Boxing day . Just wanted to say Merry Christmas and Happy Yuel Near. I like the fest except for the Sprouts.(I love them but they don't love me.) They give me way tooooo much Gas I can clear a bar after a meal with sprouts.

    Thanks Hamish,

Glad you had a great holiday. Touching you invited your partner's spirit.

For some reason this came to mind for me.

President John F. Kennedy welcomed forty-nine Nobel Prize winners to the White House in 1962, saying, "I think this is the most extraordinary collection of talent and of human knowledge that has ever been gathered together at the White House -- with the possible exception of when Thomas Jefferson dined alone."

This was my second Christmas since loosing my husband. I too keep certain traditions alive for him. Well done. Beautiful pictures and I just love the last one. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. May the coming year bring you blessings, joy and love.

Happy Christmas Hamish and a Joyous New Year - by the way is that the maple leaf tartan?

    Warmest Wishes
Many thanks for the greetings, Phil. Yes, it IS the Maple Leaf tartan. I had Geoffrey (Tailor) of Edinburgh make this one up for me four years ago. It is a full 8 yarder in 16oz weight and, like all Geoffrey's kilts, is pure joy to wear.

Thank you everyone for your marvellous greetings and kind thoughts. Let me assure you that, since I have been on my own, I prefer to spend Christmas alone. I am no longer unhappy or sad, but I do derive great pleasure in sharing the day with my cherished memories of those 36 blissful years Tom and I spent together. (Actually, I miscalculated - it was 38 years!)

My wish is that you all have the happiest of years in the new one coming.
