Unfortunately I think that the problem is that the first time kilt wearer generally is doing it at his wedding, hence he can not see himself wearing the kilt everyday, it becomes something special.

Another possibility is the fact that the general public can be ignorant and harsh, some people cant deal with the enevitable, and sometimes negative comments, the qestions etc... it takes a certain type of person to fly in the face of convention and wear a kilt on a daily basis, alot of people cant do it.

I think if this is ever going to change it will take people like us to show others that going kilted is nothing to be afraid of.
