I used to travel to Northern Ireland and Scotland on business quite frequently, and I always listened to the Gaelic stations when there.
As for cited tunes, for blood stirring, let's-pull-out-the-swords-and-charge pipes, nothing can beat "Cabar Feigh." Still makes me want to fight whenever I hear it. "Cock o' the North" is pretty good, too. Comes in a close second.
