Splash 4,
I'm still waiting to hear myself. Guessing since its a fashion tartan there aren't a lot of places to get the wool...hopefully 16 oz!
IEScotsman,
Not a problem. I've consistently resisted getting a Leatherneck SportKilt because I've seen one, with the custom length, pleats etc. and its just way too bright in the color department. Always figured if I sprung for a Leatherneck tartan kilt it'd be a 16 oz hand sewn wool one. I've seen them and the subtle color in the wool is breathtaking. My kiltmaker for handsewn kilts is Kathy Lare at Kathy's Kilts www.kathyskilts.com who's the wife of a Marine.

"I'll have a kilt please, a nice hand sewn tartan, 16 ounce Strome. Oh, and a sporran on the side, with a strap please."
