Hi Guys! WOW! An entire thread on my headgear. Whatever next? My apologies for not finding it earlier, but I have been away living it up at the Ferintosh Burns weekend in Dumfries, and then dealing with 'matters domestic'.
To answer your questions (in no particular order):
Yes, it is a Balmoral from Glengarry Hats, and it is the WWI Canadian Khaki, which I chose because I felt it was a more versatile colour when it comes to colour co-ordination!
I am not a 'hat person' - usually I cannot bear the things - but, on certain occasions and in certain locations, this one can work ....... although, I still find it uncomfortable. That's down to me, not the hat!! On principle I am not into Military kit at all, but the hat cried out for a badge of some sort and the X Marks kilt pin seemed the obvious answer.
The walking stick? That came from a local Garden Centre here in Sussex!
Now I must start going through the 226 photos taken with my camera at The Ferintosh.......
