    Hear, hear. The first thing I was asked upon donning the kilt in front of a friend was "have you lost weight?" Of course, having the ****s to wear the thing and the swagger that goes with it helps!

    I agree with you, Charles. I'm 6' 0" and 260 pounds. I'm not flabby - my stomach is actually quite hard. Plus my hip bones are high. I had always found that in order to make my belt look even from front to back with trousers, the crotch was always way to tight. IMHO, I look much better in a kilt than trousers, and I've worn kilts, both traditional and non-traditional full-time since August of 2005. One of the best decisions I ever made for my personal appearance and comfort.
