Live near LA in Carson for my first 5 years, then moved to Kentucky for 3 (2 different places), back out to California in a little town called Yermo, then Hesperia for the last 12 years

Kilts or X Marks? Kilts? Heritage mostly, but I have always (and I do mean always) have appreciated a man wearing a kilt. X Marks? Craftster.com had a man that posted the kilts he made from the pattern he got here. He posted the link, and I followed.

I said something witty, like "Huh?" and he repeated himself. I looked around (we were in a grocery store), said, "Look around! You're the one dressed like a woman (he didn't get it, at first)!" Finally, he looks at me, says "Oh" and moves on.

16. What do you like to do OTHER THAN wear/talk about/obsess over kilts: Wife signed me up for a homebrewing class (Valentine's Day present), I really like working with dogs (and, usually, their owners).
17. Name one thing you have done that others might think a bit insane (like bungee jumping etc): People 'round here seem to think being a kiltie qualifies... a blind friend and I hit 60+ mph (63 mph!) on a tandem bicycle comin' down the Lewiston Grade - that was a rush!

James: If you're wanting to go somewhere HOT, let me recommend Phoenix, Arizona in late June. Just shortly before our monsoon season begins, it's not uncommon to "enjoy" temperatures from 110F (43.3C) to over 115F (46.1C). In fact, it was in late June 1990 when we had the highest tempurature ever recorded in Phoenix - 122F (50C)!!! They had to close the airport that day because commercial airliners weren't certified to fly at that temperature! We're in our 10th year of drought; our 105th consecutive day without rain. Come to the Valley of the Sun - Gateway to Hell!

Phoenix is nice but if you want HOT continue on to Lake Havasu. Phoenix at monsoon is hot but much too humid for these old bones.
Remember, it's a DRY HEAT.
