I have a leather kilt and want to try riding my Goldwing GL1500 wearing it when the weather gets warmer!

When I stated wearing kilts, I never thought I would consider a leather kilt...but seeing the Saffron colored leather kilt from Rkilts has changed my mind.
It's not going to happen any time soon unless someone hands me a winning lottery ticket

Based on the prices I've seen, instead of the leather kilt I'd catch a flight to Glasgow, a train ticket to Dumfries, a couple nights at Ferintosh and enough left for a few pints!

I'd go with ya.
Does Ferintosh stock good rum?

Count me in, I will bring my Wool kilts as I cant justify the price for a leather one.

Raphael,
Were the choice mine I would go with a new wool tartan kilt and footwear (though probably not expensive hiking boots). The reason being that while I have the confidence to wear modern kilts, and I even have the confidence to wear leather pants (on rare occassion as seen from the Nor Cal Kilt night Halloween pictures). I just don't think I could pull off a leather kilt. From your postings and pictures you seem to be someone who could and look really good in it. If you are going to drop a huge sum of money on a garment it should be one that expresses who you are and what you wish to be. I think the leather kilt is your best choice.

Nor am I !!! However, I have enough boots but can never have too many kilts, so I'd opt for the leather kilt - which would be my seventh in genuine leather (Oooops! Sorry eighth as Robert at R-Kilts is making me another!).
Go for it, Raph. You know you want it!

That's an easy one for me: kilt and boots. I doubt I'll ever buy a leather kilt, just not fond of 'em. But I'd love some nice new hiking boots! The soles are coming off the uppers on mine and I can't afford new boots.

The idea of a leather Kilt has always appealed to me especially since I became a consistent Kilt wearer. Yet I like you am very aware of cost (that's what I do)
Go for the boots and Kilt now and then save up for the leather.

Hmmm, I pretty much live in leather kilts. I'm thinking of another wool kilt, or tweed.
But the Bronze leather kilt has been getting awsome reactions.
I'm biased so I guess I really don't count in this thread.
Cheers
Robert
