Are those Steve Ashton's heritage hose? They look really nice. In fact, the soft tones of the whole outfit fit well together.

I really like the weathered MacDonald, as well. I was just commenting that lately all the kilts I've been working on have either been brown in tone, or a Maxwell.

The past six kilts I have made have been:
    Maxwell
    Weathered Henderson (brown)
    Weathered MacDonald (brown)
    Weathered Ross Hunting (brown)
    Maxwell
    Ulster (from HOE, very brown)

The next couple of kilts I have to do will break the cycle, as their are neither brown in tone, nor a Maxwell. But I think those weathered tones are definitely getting popular!

They are Heritage Hose and they're about the thickest, warmest hose I've ever worn.

    Great looking kilt.

When you look that good in a new kilt, you don't have to smile . . . or do anything else you don't feel like.

But I think that is a smirk in the third one.

    great looking tartan!

That's an interesting observation Matt; because I have really been looking at more brown tartans and weathered patterns for my next kilt. I'm really leaning towards the black watch weathered, but that MacDonald is fantastic.

    WOW!

I've never seen the weathered MacDonald look that good. That definitely goes on the "to do" list!

I can't find info on the hose...can one of you provide a link, please?

Thanks, and congratualtions on the splendid kilt!

That's a fine looking kilt there...

And some mighty fine blades, as well! If that's your "work" camera, where exactly do you work?

**EDIT - Never mind, I found your company. Wow! What a place to work!!! ***

Well, Matt - if your eyes need a break from those warm tones, I can check my finances and see if I can afford to work a 5-yard dress Barclay in there. That'll shock your eyes back into submission!

That is a great looking tartan and kilt - and I'm digging the hose too. They look really comfortable and thick and the tone and colour are great!

And here I was thinking that if you were standing in front of 1/2 dozen swords while looking that good, that you don't need to smile.

I almost bought 6 yards of 16 oz of that tartan for $60 a few months ago. I am thinking I should have picked it up now
