I shall be at the Irish Festival

I may go down Friday night, or I may just make Saturday a day of it and perhaps Sunday. ( have a three day weekend and no other plans,)

I will be sporting my SWK Black Watch (my buddy's mom is sewing down the pleats), with a black long sleeve Police uniform shirt (no patches) and a borrowed sporran and a BSA kilt pin. I may don a fly plaid for the heck of it...

I may be joined by another of our scoutmasters (kilted as well).

Did we want to make some kind of official gathering and/or meeting at the festival next weekend?? I'm up for Friday or Saturday night (but not Saturday during the day)...

I will also be at the NTIF, haven't made up mind of my UK or my Traditional. Either way I should have on my "Real Men Wear Kilts" Shirt. I might just wear my pink kilt to see the reaction I get. It is Pink and Green Plaid.

Sorry, forgot to add, I'll be there Saturday during the day. If you see any teenagers in kilts & green boy scout looking uniforms ask one of them for "Mac". That's me.

Setting a specific time and place is a good idea.

At this point, I know that I have a conflict on Friday night and into Saturday; I'm trying to find out the details, but I haven't been successful yet in chasing them down.

Saturday night or Sunday afternoon / evening would probably work better for me.

Hi Folks,

I have been in correspondence with some of the Scottish Country Dancers and their plans to try to organize some dances during some of the NTIF band performances for Saturday, March 3.

Here's an excerpt from a post on the DSCD Yahoo group:

". . .The Dallas Scottish Country Dancers will have a booth set up [next to the Clan McPherson tent] ...Please stop by and find it before Saturday evening as that will be the meeting place prior to our invasion of the fountain area!

I am a single girl and need to get my fix of kilted men, so a little
help would be nice;-) ).

So the net plan is to meet at the DSCD booth / tent around 8:00 PM. You're certainly welcome to drop by earlier in the day and introduce yourselves . . . they're a friendly crew. You can say you know Mark through XMarks . . . and they'll immediately offer you their condolences!!

My plans are a bit indefinite . . . I will be in East Texas in the morning, but back in Dallas early afternoon, so I'll probably make it to NTIF between 3:00 and 4:00 PM. I can hook up with some of you then. You can PM me and we can make specific plans.
